Season 1 was great but season 2 is even better, especially as a punisher fan of 20+ years. Casting is great, and the retelling of these stories in a current time works very well. They’ve pulled from multiple older sources to make this all work well. Best comic book cinema to date.

I like season 2 a ton more than season 1 (though I’m only up to the first court case episode for the Punisher). To be honest, Fisk wasn’t that great of antagonist. He was just a generic manchild with daddy issues who can’t find love. I also enjoy that there is more than just 1 “villain” in this one, so there is a lot more going on.

Also, can I point out how silly the Yakuza’s leather ties are? I can’t help but laugh that that’s a part of the uniform.

Fisk was well casted, but as far as writing him for modern TV, it let a lot of room to grow into the crimelord that he is in the comic world, but started off week. And if I were yakuza, I wouldn’t wear a leather tie. Unless I had no choice, and I suppose that’s possible

I haven't gotten to season two yet, I'm probably 2/3 through season one right now. I have liked what I've seen so far though, and dig the backstory flashbacks that tell us how he came to be Daredevil (in a similar vein to Arrow). I have to say I might like the more recent TV series superhero adaptations then movies. The Flash, Daredevil and Arrow are all pretty damn good in my book.

Season 2 is definitely a lot better and they did a good job with The Punisher.

Literally my only problem is that it’s not Thomas Jane as the actor; that’s it.

I thought the actor they cast to play Fisk was great in the role he was given. I didn’t even know it was that detective from SVU until I looked at the IMDB cast last night.

But even so, it’s not the Fisk I know and the Fisk I know is from the Spiderman: Animated Series from the 90's. That’s the Fisk I grew up on, and I was disappointed to see him portrayed the way he was; as well as acted as the character was.

The whole tie in with Fisk and Castle was very surprising. I also have to say that as of episode 11, Castle’s story is an emotional roller-coaster.

I’m 2 episodes in right now and can. not. wait. to watch more. I’ve been a Punisher fan since the ‘90s when I was in high school, and so far I love they way he’s being portrayed.
